    Cathedral burns at Unesco-listed Kyiv Pechersk Lavra after Russian attack | Ukraine

    One of Ukraine’s most significant religious sites has been damaged during a large Russian missile and drone attack on Kyiv that also struck residential buildings. The damage to Dormition Cathedral, which lies within Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, was described by the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as ‘one of Russia’s most serious crimes ​against Christian culture to date’
