ONE Championship submission grappling star “Hokage” Fabricio Andrey learns and rolls with the best, and his close relationship with fellow ONE fighter and reigning ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion “Baby Shark” Diogo Reis is a testament to his dedication.

Andrey and Reis feed off each other’s energy, push each other on the mats like how iron sharpens iron, and learn each other’s techniques. It’s this high-level dynamic between them that has produced two of the pound-for-pound best submission grapplers in the world today.

In a recent interview with ONE Championship, Andrey talked about his friendship with Reis and more:

“The main difference between Diogo and me is that, even though both of us are very good at jiu-jitsu, I’m more on the flow side. I’m just going forward and trying to submit, and I don’t strategize too much. And sometimes I lose fights because of a lack of strategy.

“Diogo, on the other hand, is not as much in the flow mood, but he’s always thinking ahead on strategy and making the best decisions, always looking for flaws on the opponent’s side. And I learn a lot from him.”

Needless to say, Andrey is an absolute joy to watch on the mats, and fans won’t have to wait long to see him back in action inside the ONE Championship ring.

Fabricio Andrey takes on Owen Jones at ONE Fight Night 44 on Prime Video

“Hokage” Fabricio Andrey will return to action later this month when he takes on ONE Championship newcomer Owen Jones in a featherweight submission grappling showdown.

The two lock horns at ONE Fight Night 44: Jarvis vs. Rungrawee II on Prime Video, which broadcasts live in U.S. primetime on June 27 from the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok.

Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all of the action live and absolutely free with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
