A former WWE champion has announced that they will be returning on tonight’s episode of SmackDown. This week’s edition of the blue brand will take place at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island.

Kit Wilson was unable to travel with the company due to TSA issues in recent weeks, but will be able to attend tonight’s show in the United States. The former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion took to social media today to share a video while backstage at SmackDown and revealed that he would be making his triumphant return during tonight’s show. You can check out the video in Wilson’s post below.

“After two weeks stuck in TSA prison…Tonight, I’m home! #SmackDown,” he wrote.

Wilson is currently in a rivalry with Danhausen and suggested that the former AEW star was responsible for not being allowed to travel overseas with the promotion. The veteran is also in an alliance with The Miz on the blue brand.

The 31-year-old was formerly in a popular tag team with Elton Prince known as Pretty Deadly. Unfortunately, Prince suffered a serious neck injury last year and has been unable to return to the ring.

WWE star Kit Wilson discusses potential Pretty Deadly reunion

WWE Superstar Kit Wilson recently commented on the possibility of Pretty Deadly reuniting as a tag team down the line.

In an interview with SHAK Wrestling, Wilson stated that a reunion would depend on whether Elton Prince can return to the ring and added that he hoped he had raised the popularity of Pretty Deadly in the meantime.

“For sure it’s [his singles run] a way to elevate [Pretty Deadly]. The only issue is with Elton and the unfortunate injury, there’s a big question mark there. We’ve got a long road of recovery, and it’s still a bit of a question mark on whether he will return to the ring. It’s a serious injury, so I hope he does. I want him to come back and if he does, hopefully’I’ve raised the profile enough to be a bigger and better Pretty Deadly.” said Kit Wilson [H/T: Wrestlepurists]

Kit Wilson says Pretty Deadly will have a different feel should Elton Prince return to the ring: “For sure it’s [his singles run] a way to elevate [Pretty Deadly]. The only issue is with Elton and the unfortunate injury, there’s a big question mark there. We’ve got a long road

It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for Kit Wilson tonight on SmackDown.
