In a stock exchange filing in response to online media reports, the packaged foods maker said it had not received the complaint sample and was unable to contact the X account that made the allegation.

The company said it was made aware of the complaint through foods regulator FSSAI “basis a concern raised by an unverified account holder on social media platform X.”
As part of standard procedure, it sought samples for assessment multiple times. “However, the account holder did not respond to the same,” Nestle said.
“As per standard process, the reference sample of the batch in question was sent for testing to an independent FSSAI-notified and NABL-accredited lab, which found the reference sample to be free of any infestation,” it said. “A detailed representation, supported by facts, quality records from batch and market samples and test reports, has already been submitted to authorities,” the India unit of the Swiss foods maker said.
