The latest iteration of ONE Championship’s well-received ONE Friday Fights series was successfully held last week, producing once again action-packed matches by some of the top-quality fighters from different parts of the world.
ONE Friday Fights 157 took place at the famed Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday. And among the big winners at the event was Xavier Gonzalez of Spain, who scored an impressive opening-round knockout victory over Thai Payaksurin JP Power in the co-main event.
The 24-year-old Gonzalez was challenged early in the match with Payaksurin’s kicks but he stayed the course, looking for his spots. Midway into the match, he landed a solid counter left hook after his opponent moved for another high kick. Payaksurin was given the eight count but was obviously no longer in a position to continue, forcing the referee to call a stop to the contest.
Another impressive first-round KO win at ONE Friday Fight 157 was dished out by Tepatip Champkhamootod over Krungthai Torfunfat in their all-Thai strawweight Muay Thai battle. The 26-year-old Captain Kane Gym affiliate landed a clean right uppercut that sent his opponent to instant flatline.

In the main bout, meanwhile, Thai Yodlekpet Or Atchariya outworked Saw Min Min of Myanmar to earn a dominant decision victory in their flyweight Muay Thai showdown. The win extended Yodlekpet’s current winning streak to three straight while improving his ONE Championship record to 11-6.

ONE Friday Fights 158 takes place on June 12
The Friday Fights series is up again this week with ONE Friday Fights 158, which will feature nine engaging Muay Thai and kickboxing matches.
Bannering the June 12 event is the strawweight Muay Thai battle between Maisangkum Sor Yingcharoenkarnchang of Thailand and Petnamkhong Sor Maneekhot of Laos. Both fighters are coming off victories in their previous matches and are looking to sustain the momentum with a win on fight night.
Serving as the co-main event, meanwhile, is the featherweight kickboxing joust featuring streaking Russian fighter Mamuka Usubyan against ONE Championship newcomer Enzo Kartoum of France.
