WWE’s next premium live event, Night of Champions, will take place on June 27, 2026. Superstars from both RAW and SmackDown will head to the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
King and Queen of the Ring tournament finals will take place at the Saudi PLE, with the winners earning title shots at SummerSlam 2026. Multiple champions are advertised for the show, and the stakes are high across both brands.
Thanks for the submission!
WWE CCO Triple H took to social media this week to share the official poster for Night of Champions. The graphic featured Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes, both WWE Women’s and Women’s World Champions Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan, and United States Champion Trick Williams. However, several fans noticed that one name was missing from the advertisement – World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns.
With this, The Game subtly confirmed that the OTC will not wrestle at Night of Champions 2026 and the World Heavyweight Title will not be defended.
Check out the official poster below:
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported last month that Reigns was pulled from all four previously advertised June RAW episodes because he is not planned for Night of Champions. Meltzer’s report stated there was “no reason” to build him on television leading into a show he will not be appearing on.
The situation is complicated by the fact that Reigns himself, after winning the World Heavyweight Championship from CM Punk at WrestleMania 42, publicly stated he was done being part-time and intended to appear on WWE TV through the entire summer. His removal from June television directly contradicts that.
Major update on Roman Reigns following absence from WWE RAW
Roman Reigns was notably absent from this week’s edition of Monday Night RAW in Paris, but fans will not have to wait long to see The Tribal Chief again.
Following his absence from the June 8 episode of the Monday Night Show, the sports entertainment juggernaut has officially advertised Reigns for an upcoming event, confirming that the World Heavyweight Champion remains part of the company’s plans heading into Night of Champions.
Roman Reigns has officially been announced to appear at Fanatics Fest NYC on Saturday, July 18.
It remains to be seen when the OTC returns and when he will next defend his title.
