Allegedly, Fiegen said that Cooper then approached her, grabbed her by the neck with one hand and lifted her against a wall.
“Jade described this as being held up against the wall, with her feet no longer touching the ground,” the affidavit stated.
Allegedly, She further said that Cooper held her in that position for around one minute while taking back his phone.
Later, Fiegen claimed that Cooper released her before “pick[ing] her up and throw[ing] her back on the ground approximately 3 times.”
Fiegen also said Cooper punched a wall near her face, repeatedly ordered her to leave the apartment. Later, he pulled her toward the floor when she tried to move away.
Cooper then threatened to break Fiegen’s phone if she did not leave. Fiegen told investigators that Cooper then bit the device and damaged it.
According to the affidavit, Fiegen informed officers that the phone contained irreplaceable messages and voice memos from her late mother and that Cooper was aware of it.
When asked by investigators, Fiegen said she never lost consciousness and did not experience vision disturbances.
The affidavit noted that responding officers spotted a small mark on Fiegen’s neck, scratches on her arm and a minor cut on her hand.
However, the arresting officer wrote a different statement.
“The small mark on Jade’s neck did not appear to be consistent with the claim that Jade had been held up in the air by her throat by another individual,” Officer Victoria Rodriguez wrote in the report.
Later, Fiegen was taken to Anschutz Hospital for a forensic nurse examination before being booked into custody.
The Saturday’s allegations came after Friday’s affidavit, which was shared by Babcock via X.
Reportedly, the argument started when Fiegen accused Cooper of cheating on her. The couple were in an on-and-off relationship for about four years as per the investigators.
$60 million-worth Cooper and Fiegen were sitting on a couch in his apartment when the argument turned heated. Fiegen allegedly grabbed Cooper’s phone and threw it across the room. Officers later found damage to the phone’s OtterBox case. Plus, a dent in a nearby wall was also spotted, Fiegen reportedly admitted the case was not damaged before she flung the phone.
The affidavit states that Fiegen then picked up the phone and checked it. That is when Cooper allegedly tried to take it back, which led to a physical struggle near the apartment’s front door.
Cooper admitted grabbing Fiegen’s upper arms while trying to recover the phone, according to the investigators. He also told officers that he used his neck to block her from reaching the device after getting it back. However, authorities said there was not enough evidence to pursue assault/harassment charges because the accounts conflicted. Additionally, there was no physical evidence.
The newly released details add to the first report shared by Babcock on Friday via X that outlined the events leading up to both arrests.
According to the affidavit, Cooper took Fiegen’s phone later and warned that he would break it if she did not leave the apartment. Cooper admitted to officers that he damaged the phone by biting it after Fiegen did not budge to leave.
Investigators said they found a crack on the screen on Fiegen’s iPhone 17. It was valued at about $830.
The affidavit stated that Fiegen’s account backed Cooper’s admission that he indeed damaged the phone.
Based on the investigation, authorities arrested Fiegen on suspicion of criminal mischief-domestic violence for allegedly damaging Cooper’s phone and phone case. She was taken to Anschutz Hospital for a forensic nurse examination before being taken into custody.
Cooper was also arrested and booked into the Douglas County Jail on a misdemeanor criminal mischief-domestic violence charge related to the damage to Jade Fiegen’s phone.
The investigation is active.
Cooper has a son named Javier Saint Cooper.
After his college career with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Jonathan Cooper was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
