I definitely recommend keeping an eye on Frenkie de Jong and Ronald Araujo from the list above. Both of these FC Barcelona stars offer incredible base stats that will only get better if the Netherlands and Uruguay perform well. De Jong will dictate the midfield pace perfectly as a CM, CAM, or even CDM, while Araujo is a rock-solid defender to anchor your backline.

If you enjoy exploiting the wings with blistering speed, picking up Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka or Real Madrid’s superstar Vini Jr. would be an absolute game-changer. Their pace and dribbling fit perfectly into the wide attacking FC 26 tactics. Knowing that this promo relies on the results of a national team, rather than individual excellence, I recommed to look for players from strong national teams. With that in mind, you can still have the above four players, but also go for Rodri, Musiala, Simeone, and Ruben Dias.

How does the upgrade path work for FC 26 Path to Glory promo?

The upgrade path system for the FC 26 Path to Glory promo is incredibly detailed this year, rewarding your card with incredible upgrades as the tournament continues. The journey begins in the group stages, where a single win grants a 99 sub attribute boost. If the player’s nation secures three wins in the group stage, they earn another 99 sub attribute boost.

Once a nation reaches the Round of 32, the respective card of their player receives a standard plus one overall rating. Advancing to the Round of 16 gives you either a new PlayStyle Plus or a standard PlayStyle. You should keep note that if your selected player already has four PlayStyle Plus, they won’t get the former reward.

Reaching the Quarter Finals, the Path to Glory card unlocks either five-star skill moves and a five-star weak foot, or another 99 sub attribute upgrade. A semi-final appearance guarantees another plus-one overall rating boost. Reaching the Final itself awards one of the face stats to reach 99. If the player’s nation actually wins the World Cup Final, the card is boosted to a massive 99 overall rating along with an additional PlayStyle Plus.

There are also unique match-specific boosts to look out for during knockout games. A win in extra time grants 99 composure and 99 stamina to the player item. If they manage to win via a penalty shootout, the card receives 99 composure, 99 penalties, and 99 stamina.
