In an alarming incident, BTS’ Jungkook has been targeted by an alleged stalker once again. A chain of events commenced on June 1 when he playfully shared an Instagram story, promising fans a selfie if they recognized him jogging by the Han River.

Soon after, a bunch of screenshots from a certain Turkish student in Seoul started making rounds and went viral. The student, identified as Elena Beyazkaya, was allegedly bragging about lurking outside Jungkook’s private property but failed to catch a glimpse of him.

Fans banded together to label her a stalker as her identity was exposed on social media. This sparked a conversation on how the K-pop idol’s privacy keeps getting repeatedly compromised, along with whether it was right for netizens to dox her online.

One person called the individual out over an X post:

    “Just absolute insanity.”

Some people argued over whether the girl was a minor or whether she should be excused for her immature behaviour. Others intervened to mention how being a minor doesn’t excuse her for acting the way she did, and it could easily lead to legal hassles. ARMY even slammed people who were trying to defend her actions online.

@stilwitjungkook I get but the way we are talking like if she is a minor, she has licence to stalk Minor doesn’t excuse weird behaviour

Some stupid person were fighting for her, even if she is minor, at that age I wasn’t stalking guys. Being a minor DOES NOT EXCUSE CRIME

Fans talked about how Jungkook made a clever move by offering to take selfies with people who can spot him outside. They theorized that it was for exposing his stalkers. Many others talked about previous incidents when the BTS members were followed in public places by media and crazed people alike and how it has disrupted their private lives. ARMY also called the person out for spreading hate on Taehyung through the texts.

@bulletproofism insane behavior man like i love jungkook too but you’d never catch me flying out and waiting around his house LIKE WHAT AUDACITY DO I HAVE??? WHAT RIGHT DO I HAVE TO JUST DO THAT?

OMG, JK said he would expose his stalkers and he made them expose themselves by posting pictures with him. I feel so bad for believing her. All those people he took pictures with might actually be stalkers. 😭😭 I feel so bad for him. When will he be free from these psychos?

@bulletproofism Jungkook did that to lure out stalkers and they took his bait. Now, their faces are online for free. People now knew them and do yall who knew them too? The police and his personal guards🤣🤣🤣

the concept of moving to korea to “study” and then stalking an harassing jk instead and ON TOP OF THAT whining about him not doing anything? girl?? what was he gonna do invite you in??? how delusional can you be

Jungkook’s privacy was repeatedly compromised in the past

There have been multiple instances when the security and safety of the BTS members were compromised. Right after his military discharge, a woman from China and another one from Brazil were taken into custody for lurking outside Jungkook’s private property. One of them repeatedly kept pressing the doorbell as well.

In another recent incident, he shared an Instagram story, jokingly telling fans to spot him while he is jogging alongside the Han River. If they manage to recognize him, he would take a selfie with them.

Despite sporting an all-black outfit with his face mostly covered with a mask, few fans were lucky to recognize him as they received their obligatory selfies. However, on June 2, the 28-year-old shared a concerning video, throwing in brief punching gestures in front of the camera.

He spoke to the viewers, warning people not to wait around his house or he would expose them. Jungkook indirectly addressed the people who had flocked around his home following his previous updates. He additionally reminded everyone that their suspicious activities are captured in CCTV footage installed outside his residence.

The seven-member group is currently taking a brief time out before continuing on their massively successful world tour, with its next stop scheduled to be in Busan.
