Amazon Just Announced Dates for Prime Day 2026—Here’s What You Need to Know

It’s almost that time of year: Amazon Prime Day is just around the corner, and I already have a cart full of wish-listed items I’m hoping to save on. I usually wait for Prime Day to stock up on my favorite home and beauty essentials—and I’ll typically even treat myself to some new vacation clothing and travel accessories ahead of my summer trips. After all, Amazon tends to offer its steepest discounts of the year during its four-day mega-sale. In years past, I’ve scored on popular shoes, hard-shell luggage, and electronics for up to 50% off. And since Amazon just announced the dates for this year’s highly anticipated Prime Day, let this be your sign to start thinking about what you need a restock on and what big-ticket items you’ve been waiting to buy.

Prime members are guaranteed to find deals across all major categories, including clothing and shoes, luggage, tech, premium beauty and skincare, outdoor gear, and home goods. Below, I’m breaking down everything we know so far about Amazon Prime Day 2026. Plus, I’ve listed out some deals running on Amazon right now, so you can start shopping—and saving—early.

    In this article:

    What is Prime Day?

In case you’re not familiar with Amazon’s best sale of the year, let’s get you up to speed: Prime Day is an annual savings event where thousands of products are marked down for a limited time. Prime members can take advantage of the chance to save up to 60% off best-selling gear, trending apparel, and so much more.

For the past few years, Amazon has offered a similar sale in October, giving eager shoppers yet another chance to save big. Electronics and home goods tend to be the most popular—and most heavily discounted—items during these Prime Day events, but we typically also see great deals on clothing and shoes, luggage, beauty products, outdoor gear, and travel essentials.

    When is Prime Day?

Amazon finally announced the dates for its summer mega-sale—and it’s earlier than ever before. This year, Amazon Prime Day will run from Tuesday, June 23, through Friday, June 26, 2026. Last year, Amazon extended its longtime two-day July sale to four days. The sale will run for four days again this year, offering Prime members more time to shop. That means right now is a great time to start thinking about what items you hope to see on sale this summer and start building your wish list.

What did readers buy most last Prime Day?

Need some inspo on what to add to your shopping cart ahead of Prime Day 2026? Say no more—check below to see what our readers bought most last year during the annual sale. As you can see, travel accessories and luggage tend to be popular sale picks. Our readers also picked up a bunch of in-flight essentials, from comfy eye masks to neck pillows (these must-haves can make even the longest flights in economy a little bit more bearable!). In addition, comfortable sneakers, portable steamers, and the Hatch alarm clock were big hits among our readers.
