Exploring the legacy of Forever Living Products

In an era of rapid change in the health and wellness industry, consumers are seeking more than just products. They are looking for brands with a proven record of consistency and trust. Forever Living Products has built that credibility over nearly five decades.

Forever Living Products was started in 1978 in Arizona, US, and it has grown to be among the largest producers of aloe vera-based products worldwide. With over 48 years of experience in the market, the company has remained committed to the vision of providing products that deliver wellness solutions through natural and scientific means.

Aloe vera remains at the core of all the company’s activities and is the main raw material used to make its products. Forever Living Products harvests over 40 million aloe vera plants every year across about 7,500 acres of farmland in Texas and the Dominican Republic.

Forever Living Products also practices vertical integration, controlling every aspect of its “Plant to Product to You” process, from growing the aloe vera fields to manufacturing, research, quality control, certification, and international distribution.

Product excellence is ensured via comprehensive testing methods and numerous international certifications. For instance, Forever Aloe Vera Gel is certified by the International Aloe Science Council (IASC). In addition, more than 1.4 million quality tests per year are conducted to guarantee the purity, safety, and efficacy of every product. Supported by science advisors and modern processing technology, the company insists on premium quality across both its sourcing and manufacturing processes.

Beyond innovation, another important factor in the company’s strategic vision is sustainability. According to Forever Living, in 2024, the Dominican Republic’s aloe vera plants and inner leaf gel were granted USDA Organic and EU Organic certifications for their strict compliance with ecological balance, soil sustainability, and the absence of synthetics, GMOs, and radiation.Forever Living Products has also put into practice eco-friendly agricultural processes that aim to cut waste and conserve natural resources. In its farms in the Dominican Republic, over 3,000 goats remove weeds and create fertiliser without artificial chemicals or fuel-powered gardening equipment. Solar pumps and drip irrigation are used to decrease water consumption by up to 90%, while all the water used in cleaning aloe vera is recycled and returned to the farm’s fields. The company’s eco-friendly approach also extends to innovations in manufacturing and packaging. Forever Aloe Vera Gel drinks come in recyclable PET bottles that contain more than 50% post-consumer recycled materials. Packaging sizes have been reduced and the proportion of recycled materials have increased, while plastic filler materials are being replaced with paper-based options.

Aloe Vera of America, an essential part of the company’s supply chain, has won the Blue Thumb Award for its wastewater management systems, recycling, and waste minimisation. The organisation also holds ISO certification for its initiatives in water conservation, energy efficiency, environmental management, occupational safety, and laboratory proficiency.

With a global presence since 1978, Forever Living Products is a name Indian consumers can trust in an increasingly competitive wellness market.. As demand rises for clean-label products, sustainable sourcing, and ingredient transparency, consumers are placing greater trust in brands with a proven track record over many years.

Forever Living Products has undergone numerous changes since its inception, adapting to the evolving needs of consumers while holding onto the values at the core of its identity: quality, sustainability, and trust.

Today, as wellness has become an integral part of people’s lives and well-being, these values remain highly relevant and appreciated worldwide.
