    Rhea Ripley admits she almost derailed WWE plans for her push accidentally

    WWE star Rhea Ripley recently talked about a moment that could have resulted in her push in the company going off the rails, and not in a good way.

    Back in 2023, Ripley outlasted all her competitors in the Royal Rumble match despited being the first to enter the contest. The win cemented her as one of the top stars on the roster, and her dominant performance led to her eventually defeating Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39 to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion.

    However, the whole booking almost came apart, according to Ripley’s comments in an interview on ESPN. She explained that her hands were exceptionally sweaty in the final moments of the Royal Rumble match, which made it hard for her to hang on to the ropes and get Liv Morgan out of the ring.

    “I managed to get to the last three, and by then, I was so sweaty. My hands were wet and slipped. As soon as I grabbed the top rope, I was like, ‘Do not let go. For the love of God, through all the weights that you’ve picked up while being sweaty, this is the one you can’t drop.’ Very close. Very close. I was scared.”

    Rhea Ripley recently cut a promo ahead of WWE Clash in Italy

    The Eradicator appears to be more than ready for her match with Jade Cargill at WWE Clash in Italy.

    After winning in a live event in Liverpool, Ripley was seen calling out Jade Cargill with a seemingly unscripted promo. She said:

    “Jade! Where are you, huh? See me, the champion, I’m at work. Where are you? I hope you’re getting ready for Clash in Italy because I am about to beat you 2-0, b*tch!”

    Jade Cargill also hasn’t shied away from hurling threats at Ripley. With tensions between the two rising before the rematch after Ripley’s win at WWE WrestleMania 42, it remains to be seen which star will emerge victorious after what will likely be an intense fight.
