Ludwig Kaiser was recently arrested. Now, the backstage reaction to his arrest has reportedly been revealed.

Ludwig Kaiser has come a long way in his career since his debut in NXT. He was part of Imperium along with Gunther and Giovanni Vinci. Kaiser has since broken out of the group and has done well for himself in recent years. Since last year, Kaiser has been playing the masked luchador called El Grande Americano. He has been a regular feature on TV and has also become a major hit in AAA. However, he suffered a major setback recently when he was arrested on battery charges. The incident took place at Kaiser’s apartment complex when the complainant, Richard Reap, alleged that Kaiser and Andrea Bazarte were behaving in an uncontrollably intimate manner in an elevator. Upon exiting the elevator, Richard reportedly asked the couple to behave themselves. This resulted in Kaiser allegedly punching Richard multiple times. Another report came out that stated that Kaiser and Andrea were defending themselves from ICE comments.

According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE talent were in disbelief that the narrative being put out about the situation is one of “defense.” Many said that Kaiser should’ve just removed himself from the situation.

Jim Cornette defended Ludwig Kaiser’s actions

Ludwig Kaiser has been in the middle of a massive push. However, his arrest could pose a serious threat to his career. However, a wrestling veteran has come to his defense.

Speaking on his The Jim Cornette Experience podcast, the wrestling veteran said that Kaiser and Andrea didn’t do anything inappropriate. He also said that the accuser might have said something to escalate the situation.

“But the point is, the f**king guy in the elevator. Whether he was bothered by them kissing, it wasn’t a blow**b. Was anybody naked? What is his problem anyway? But I guarantee you that the verbiage, and this will come out probably, hopefully, when they adjudicate this thing. If they don’t just outright dismiss it, I guarantee you the verbiage was not ‘please,” Cornette said.

It remains to be seen if this arrest will affect Ludwig Kaiser’s push.
