Danhausen has become one of the hottest stars in WWE. Now, a Hall of Famer has given his honest thoughts about him.

The Godfather is the latest to comment on Danhausen. Since making his WWE debut, Danhausen has grown to become one of the most popular stars on the WWE roster. As a result, the sports entertainment juggernaut has featured the former AEW star in funny segments every week. Very Nice, Very Evil has also sold a lot of merchandise for the company and is one of the top sellers.

During a recent interview with Sportshadow Wrestling, The Godfather explained that wrestling has changed over the years from the big guys to normal-looking people. He also said that he wished he were around now because he could have also sold more merchandise.

“The day of the big 6’7, 300lbs wrestler is over now. And I think with the indie scene and everything go on, I think now wrestling is more normal looking people instead of the big guys. And I have nothing against him. I’ve met him four or five times as Papa Shango. He’s very respectful. I wish him the best, man. That just goes to show you how wrestling’s changed. Now the number one merchandise seller is a voodoo guy. I wish I was around right now.” [H/T WrestlePurists on X]

Swerve Strickland hopes WWE doesn’t burn out Danhausen

Given how much fans love Danhausen, he has made appearances on RAW and SmackDown almost every week. All this could take a toll on him and the fans, according to Swerve Strickland.

During an interview with Bootleg Kev, Swerve Strickland said he is happy for the former AEW star. However, he was concerned WWE would burn him out with how much they are using him on TV. He wants to see Very Nice, Very Evil to get the same opportunities in five years, but that won’t be possible if he is burnt out.

“So happy for him. I just don’t want them to burn him out so quick before the year is over. I’m like, ‘No, you gotta cherish this guy.’ It’s a lot and on both shows. He’s busy, he’s moving, he’s at the headquarters, he’s at Miz’s house, he’s on RAW, he’s on SmackDown, he’s with Stephen A. Smith. I’m like, ‘There’s a lot of Danhausen.’ And congrats to him. You shouldn’t say no to all those opportunities. Take them, but man, I want to see these opportunities still happening in five years, three years, next year. I want to see these opportunities still happening for you and growing,” he said. [H/T – WrestlePurists’ X]

It’s good to see how quickly Danhausen has become one of the most beloved stars on the WWE roster.
