Jermaine Eluemunor strongly pushed back against claims that Jaxson Dart has created division in the New York Giants’ locker room following his political action on Friday. The quarterback introduced President Donald Trump at a pep rally in Rockland Community College in Suffern, NY.

The clip of Dart introducing the president immediately went viral on social media, sparking mixed reactions among fans. One of the most notable reactions came from the quarterback’s teammate, Abdul Carter, who couldn’t believe the actions of his fellow 2025 first-round pick.

“Thought this s— was AI, what we doing man,” Carter wrote on X.

Carter’s reaction to Dart’s rally introduction role immediately prompted speculation from Boston Globe reporter Ben Volin. Quoting the post made by the linebacker, the New England Patriots beat writer made a bold claim on the implications of Jaxson Dart’s action at the pep rally.

“Giants starting QB just divided his locker room,” Volin wrote.

However, Eluemunor didn’t allow the speculative opinion of Volin to take a slide. The veteran offensive tackle, who was re-signed by the Giants in a three-year deal worth $39 million in March, responded to the journalist with sharp language, rebuking a potential media narrative.

“Locker Room is fine. Focus on New England,” Eluemunor wrote.

Abdul Carter would go on to deliver further clarification on the issue with a post on his own. The linebacker dismissed the speculation that was fast spreading about him and Jaxson Dart, backing the claims of Jermaine Eluemunor and some other players on the team.

“Me and JD6 are good! We spoke earlier as Men. Yall can keep yall narratives,” Carter wrote on X.

John Harbaugh discusses Jaxson Dart’s leadership style

It’s been a few days of John Harbaugh working with Jaxson Dart at the New York Giants facility, but there are quite a lot of impressions the coach has had about him. The coach was questioned about the leadership style of the quarterback on the third day of the team’s OTA.

“I think probably the best way I could say he’s genuine,” Harbaugh said. “He’s just himself. He is who he is. The thing I’ve noticed about him is he wants every play to be perfect and every play to be successful. It’s probably a good place to start.

“Ultra competitive guy, and if it doesn’t go right, he’s not happy. And he’ll get to the next play. But I’ve seen him make a bunch of plays. He’s enthusiastic. He’s charismatic. The guys love him. But this dude works. He works at it. He wants to be great. So the coach would appreciate that.”

Following an impressive rookie season, Jaxson Dart will enter the 2026 NFL season with a lot of expectations in New York and beyond. Many expect him to thrive under the new offensive system led by John Harbaugh and lead the Giants to become a contender once again.
