    The 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season heads to Charlotte Motor Speedway, and the Coca-Cola 600 prize money has been released.

    The 13th race of the season is expected to be exciting, as the Next Gen car will run for the seventh time at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

    All drivers taking the field for the main event will be racing to win 600 miles on Sunday (May 24) on the 1.5-mile-long track.

    Along with the win, there will be monetary rewards for the Coca-Cola 600 winner. In 2026, the 400-lap race boasts a prize pool of $13,855,363.

    The 39 drivers participating in the Cup Series will compete for monetary incentives this weekend in Concord, North Carolina.

    FOX Sports motorsports reporter Bob Pockrass revealed the total prize pool that will be up for grabs this weekend at Charlotte:

    “Purses for Charlotte NASCAR weekend including all payouts, all positions, contingency awards, all charter payouts in Cup, etc.: Cup: $13,855,363 OReilly: $1,653,590 Truck: $789,700”

    Coca-Cola 600 Prize Money Breakdown: How much will the winner make at the Charlotte?

    According to Pockrass, the 2026 NASCAR Charlotte spring winner is likely to receive between eight and 10 percent of the total purse.

    As per this assumption, the winner of this year’s Coca-Cola 600 prize money will likely get eight to 10 percent of the $13,855,363, which means a check of around $1,108,429.04 and $1,385,536.30.

    After deducting the winner’s amount from the total Charlotte race prize money, the remaining purse will be divided among the 36 charter teams according to their finishing positions in the race, charter status, etc.

    With the advent of the charter system in NASCAR, individual payouts per finishing position are no longer published.

    NASCAR Cup Series action will start with practice and qualifying on Saturday (May 23) and conclude with the 400-lap main event on Sunday evening.
