The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will today release the preliminary answer key for the Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET/ AP EAPCET) 2026. Candidates who appeared for the entrance examination will be able to download the AP EAPCET preliminary key for engineering, agriculture and pharmacy from cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/EAPCET.

According to APSCHE, candidates can access the answer key and response sheets by logging in with their registration number, hall ticket number and other required credentials. Along with the answer key, candidates will also be able to estimate their probable scores before the declaration of results.

The objection window against the preliminary key will remain open till May 25. Candidates who find discrepancies in the provisional AP EAPCET answers can submit objections online. The final AP EAPCET 2026 answer key will be prepared after considering all challenges raised by students, following which the AP EAMCET 2026 results are expected to be declared tentatively on June 1.

The council has also opened the window to fill and submit the declaration form for 10+2 marks for those candidates who have appeared AP EAPCET 2026 and qualified in intermediate or equivalent examination.

The AP EAMCET 2026 examination was conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education for admissions to engineering, agriculture and pharmacy programmes offered by colleges across the state.

As per the official examination pattern, the entrance test was conducted for a duration of three hours. The paper comprised 160 objective-type questions, including 80 questions from Mathematics and 40 questions each from Physics and Chemistry. All questions carried equal weightage and candidates had to choose one correct answer out of four options provided for each question.

The examination authority has clarified that there is no negative marking in AP EAMCET 2026. Candidates receive one mark for every correct response, while no deduction is made for incorrect or unanswered questions. This allows students to attempt all questions without the risk of losing marks for wrong answers.

The qualifying percentage for AP EAMCET 2026 has been fixed at 25 per cent of the maximum marks considered for ranking. However, candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories are exempted from the minimum qualifying mark requirement. Their admissions, however, will be restricted to the extent of seats reserved for those categories.
