Kevin Durant and Drake teamed up in the new KD 19 sneakers commercial. On Wednesday, Nike released the commercial where the Rockets star and the five-time Grammy Award winner acted out a segment together in a locker room.

In the commercial, Drake played Durant’s yes man. The rapper asked the Rockets star to reveal his new sneakers. KD playfully showed the rapper two bizarre shoes, but the rapper praised them while slipping looks to the camera behind him.

Later, Durant confronted Drake about being a yes man, and the rapper said that he was being a supportive friend. The Rockets star then revealed the new KD 19 in the capri blue colorway, which he had nicknamed “candy.”

On Wednesday, an X account shared the commercial on its timeline. Fans quoted the post and shared their opinions in the comments section.

“Drake really teamed up with Nike to take shots at Bron,” one fan said.

“LeBron gone be mad when he sees this,” another fan said.

“The Shade!!! F**k Lebron lol,” another fan commented.

    Here are more reactions:

“Ik Bron mad as hell that he wasn’t able to have the Iceman collab on his shoe 😭,” one fan commented.

“Funny cause Drake surrounded himself with “yes” men that told him he can win in a beef with Kendrick,” another fan commented.

“KD and Drake really turned mutual admiration into a full Nike campaign 😭,” another fan said.

When will Kevin Durant’s KD 19 be available?

Nike first revealed Kevin Durant’s KD 19 on March 16. The Rockets star wore the sneaker on multiple occasions during the regular season’s final stretch up to the playoffs.

It has been more than a month, but the sneakers are not yet available in stores for fans. According to a March 16 press release, the Nike KD 19 are slated to hit the shelves on June 13 exclusively on Nike’s SNKRS retail website. The shoe will release globally on June 17.

“Across basketball, few players are as smooth or as dangerous from anywhere on the court as Kevin Durant,” Nike Basketball’s VP, Creative Director, Ross Klein said about the sneaker. “The KD19 embodies that edge: visually distinct, built for instant responsiveness and all-game comfort, helping players get to any spot and knock down any shot.”

Kevin Durant’s 19th signature sneaker features a multilayered cushioning system and an exterior TPU dagger, making it one of the most feature-packed basketball sneakers set to hit the market.
