“Colin usually rides for McVay and Stafford, but his Sean Payton obsession is on another level. Mans is out here inventing NFL schedule conspiracies for him. I wouldn’t be shocked if Sean literally called him and handed him this script,” one tweeted.

“I know Sean Payton is your buddy, but first 5 weeks vs first 5 weeks for Buffalo? They are basically playing a division winner schedule. Yeah, you play better teams,” another added.
“Colin trying to stay ‘relevant’ with false narratives on schedule drop day. Big trust there are plenty of teams having oh s*it moments looking at their schedule starting with the Chiefs! Saying ‘we have to play Denver’ that defense, there O-Line, Bo Nix, Dobbins, Sutton, Waddle,” a third commented.
Here are a few more reactions.
“Where Colin… was a jacka*s,” one wrote.
“Does Colin not realize how schedules are constructed? It’s just your typical 1st place schedule. No conspiracies,” another added.
“It’s called a 1st place schedule. Denver isn’t familiar with that concept so this year is a shock to their system,” a user tweeted.
The Broncos have a relatively challenging start to the 2026 season. To begin their run, five of their six opponents made the playoffs last season, while the Kansas City Chiefs are the other team in the mix.
Sean Payton led Broncos to AFC championship game last season

Sean Payton led the Broncos to the AFC West title last season. They also finished as the No. 1 seed in the AFC, earning a bye for the wild-card round.
Denver beat the Buffalo bills 33-30 in overtime in the divsional round, but fell 10-7 to the New England Patriots in the conference championship game.
It remains to be seen how Payton will fare in his fourth season with the Broncos in 2026.
