Sarah Ferguson reportedly could face legal trouble over a financial crisis at a company that was once under her direction. Earlier in February, six companies where Ferguson worked as a director were reportedly being shut down after her alleged communication with Epstein surfaced publicly.
Now, she is reportedly facing a legal bill in connection with another company. The former Duchess of York has been facing financial issues since her divorce from ex-Prince Andrew. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Sarah Ferguson has an estimated net worth of $2 million. However, the exact sources of her income are unclear.
In a May 12 report, The Sun mentioned that Sarah Ferguson served as an executive director in Gate Ventures from 2017 to 2019. During her stint, the company allegedly made some “unexplained” loans exceeding £500,000. The report noted that the company collapsed financially in 2020 after losing £19 million due to alleged “lavish spending.”
The outlet claimed to have obtained the latest liquidator’s report stating that a “substantial recovery” would be made for investors. Perez Hilton discussed The Sun’s report in his May 14 blog post. Hilton reported that if Ferguson loses the case, it could force her to file for bankruptcy. Reacting to it, Hilton wrote:
“Holy s**t!!!! This couldn’t come at a worse time for her, either. She’s already been exiled from the royal family and is essentially in hiding (though she’s picked a rather pricey place to avoid the spotlight). The mother of two has reportedly struggled with debt much of her life.”
Perez Hilton mentioned that amid her financial struggle, Sarah Ferguson once “begged” Jeffrey Epstein for money. Earlier, in one of his February blog posts, the podcaster discussed an email that surfaced after the DOJ released more than 3 million files related to Epstein. In a 2016 email sent to the late disgraced financier, Ferguson allegedly wrote:
“But why I don’t understand, don’t you just get me to be your House Assistant. I am the most capable and desperately need the money. Please Jeffrey think about it.”
Sarah Ferguson recently made headlines over claims of an alleged relationship with Diddy
In a recently published revised paperback edition of Entitled, author Andrew Lownie wrote that Sarah Ferguson was “friends with benefits” with Sean “Diddy” Combs. The author said that the ex-duchess and the music mogul first met in the year 2002 at a party organized by Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
Lownie claimed that a staff member of Combs’ record label told him that the rapper boasted of having a relationship with the former duchess. He added that another staffer of Diddy’s record label confirmed that Ferguson was “friends with benefits” with the rapper, and their alleged relationship began in 2004.
According to the Telegraph, a source close to Ferguson called Lownie’s claims “blatantly untrue.” Diddy’s representative, Juda Engelmayer, also spoke with The Mirror US and said:
“There are so many important and monumental events happening today; this utterly ridiculous gossip isn’t one of them.”
In October last year, Sarah Ferguson lost her duchess title after King Charles stripped her ex-husband, Andrew Windsor Mountbatten, of his royal title. She also had to move out of the Royal Lodge in Windsor, where she had continued to live after her 1996 divorce from Andrew.
