    MP high court recognises Bhojshala as Saraswati temple

    Madhya Pradesh high court has recognised the disputed Bhojshala complex in Dhar as a temple associated with Goddess Vagdevi, also known as Saraswati. The court observed that Hindu worship at the site had continued over time and suggested that the Centre may consider bringing back the idol currently housed in the British Museum. While the ASI will continue to administer the site, the court also said Muslim groups may seek alternative land for a mosque. Read full story

    Opposition attacks Centre over fuel price hike

    Opposition parties sharply criticised the Centre after petrol and diesel prices were raised by Rs 3 per litre across the country. Congress and the Trinamool Congress accused the government of increasing the burden on consumers following the end of assembly elections, warning that the move could worsen inflation and slow economic growth.     India and UAE sign major energy and defence agreements

    India and the United Arab Emirates signed several agreements during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Abu Dhabi, including deals on strategic petroleum reserves, LPG supplies and defence cooperation.     Iran says it received fresh US messages to continue talks amid shaky ceasefire

    Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi said that Tehran has received fresh messages from the United States expressing willingness to continue diplomatic engagement despite recent tensions over Iran’s proposal on ending hostilities. Speaking in New Delhi during the BRICS foreign ministers’ meeting, Araghchi said Iran has ‘no trust in Americans’ but is trying to preserve the ‘very shaky’ ceasefire to give diplomacy a chance.     IPL 2026 creates history as all 10 teams register at least one centurion for first time

    The 2026 season of the Indian Premier League has become the first in the tournament’s history where all 10 franchises have produced at least one centurion. The milestone was achieved after Virat Kohli scored his ninth IPL century for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Kolkata Knight Riders in Raipur.
