Sophie Cunningham comments on her SI Swimsuit photoshoot

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s 2026 edition’s photoshoot took place at the South Seas Resort on Captiva Island, Florida. Sophie Cunningham said after the shoot that her first-ever SI modelling appearance was her longtime dream.

“It was so empowering and just so fun but being able to check that off my list,” Cunningham said, per an SI article on Tuesday. “That has been a huge bucket list goal and now I just feel so good about myself.”

Cunningham signed a one-year, $665,000 contract with Indiana this offseason. She is expected to once again play a key role with the Caitlin Clark-led team. The Fever are the early favorites to contend for the WNBA championship.

Indiana lost its season-opener, 107-104, to the Dallas Wings on Saturday. The Fever aim to bounce back and get their first win against the LA Sparks on Wednesday at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
